Green Park is located within the state Horticulture Nursery in Dimapur. It is a recreational spot in Dimapur where you can hangout with your friends and family. As the name suggests the park is full of greenery. There are lots of things that you can enjoy in the park. The park has a lake where the tourist can enjoy boating. The restaurants in the park also offer some delicious food to the visitors. The park is maintained by the government of Nagaland .

The park remains open on all national holidays and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. One can also book the park for private parties only on the days when the park remains closed for the public.

Intanki Wildlife Sanctuary

Intanki Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 37 km from Dimapur. The total area of the park is 202 sq.km. The sanctuary is under the preservation of the Forest Wildlife Department. The sanctuary is home to different species of birds and animals.  The sanctuary is surrounded by thick carpet of green plantations.

Different types of animals that are found in the sanctuary are Hoolock Gibbon, Mithun, Elephant, Sambar, Goral, Barking Deer, Flying Squirrel, Tiger, Sloth Bear Wild Dog and among birds are the Hornbill and Black Stor and Kaleej and common pheasant.

Accessibility:One can easily reach the sanctuary by road from Dimapur. The nearest rail link to the sanctuary is the Dimapur railway station and the closest airport is the Dimapur airport. Bus and taxi service are easily available from Dimapur to the sanctuary.

Accommodation:The tourist can stay in the PWD Inspection Bunglow and the Circuit House that are available for them. The sanctuary also has a Forest Rest House on hire subject to availability.

Dimapur Zoological Park

Dimapur park of Dimapur is located about 6km from Dimapur. The park is located on a plateau and total area of the park is 434.90 acres.  The Zoological Park was inaugurated by state government on the 28th August, 2008. The park was set up with an aim to educate the people of Nagaland about the rich natural abundance.

The Zoological Park also acts as a Conservation Centre of Nagaland as well as the Northeast as a whole. The park serves as a educational hub and recreational spot for the tourist.

Diezephe Craft Village

Diezephe Craft Village is located about 13kms from Dimapur and is a handicrafts and handloom village.  The primary inhabitants of the village are the The Tenyimei community, who are known for their excellent craftsmanship. The craft village is famous for its bamboo work, woodcarving, other forms of handicrafts and handloom items. Here, you can not only find the artworks displayed but also the process of making the items are also shown openly to the tourists

The Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited manage the craft village. Regular workshops are also held in the Diezephe Craft Village for the local people and weavers from across the region.

Kachari Ruins

Dimapur, one of the important city of Nagaland is the ancient capital of the Kachari tribe.  The rule of the Kachari tribe existed before 13th century. The glimpse of the Kachari culture can be seen in the ruins which are scattered in and around the city of Dimapur. Although Kachari culture has a touch of Hinduism, but it is predominantly non-Aryan. These ruins lay in the form of ruins of temples, monoliths, embankments.

Medziphema

Medziphema is one of the famous tourist spots near Dimapur. Medziphema is located 360 meters above sea level. This place is close to Kohima and Dimapur. Medziphema is famous because of the Nagaland University, Medziphema campus and School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD).  The town is surrounded by several villages namely Aoyimti, Darogarjan and Aoyimkum. The pineapples of Medziphema are also very famous, and the villages surrounding the town are known as pineapple villages.

Dimapur Ao Baptist Church is located in the heart of the city. With a congregation of 5000 Ao families in and around Dimapur and having 15000 baptized members, the church is the largest Baptist Church in India.

The half a century old Church, an architectural masterpiece in Dimapur, stands tall and delivering the message of peace, serenity and brotherhood. The church was set up in 1958 by two Ao families which now serves the poor and the needy and spreads God’s message. The church is decorated with lights every year during Christmas which adds to its glamour.
